Nicholas Bortman

Nicholas Bortman co-founded Raedas in 2016, a firm specialising in supporting the arbitration and litigation involved in complex cross-border disputes between UHNW clients and businesses. Also acting as the firm’s Middle East head, Bortman has more than six years’ experience working in the UAE. In Dubai, he set up business intelligence firm GPW’s Middle East arm and has participated in matters involving the DIFC, as well as private disputes between merchant families and royalty.

Bortman was trained by a former Manhattan district attorney’s trial prosecutor who specialised in tobacco and pharmaceutical counterfeiting and smuggling investigations.
