Geoff Garrett co-founded Henry Dannell in 2019 having spent many years building up a loyal clientele in high-net-worth lending, principally mortgages.

‘Historically it started very much with city based individuals. A lot of those people moved into hedge funds and private equity and as a result of that, I started meeting an awful lot of people in the wealth management industry, the private client legal sector and tax advisory,’ he said. ‘The other area is the entertainment industry. I look after a lot of musicians.’

Much of his business comes from recommendations from private bankers, even when they have their own products. He said, ‘They get a client with a very strong income profile. They’ll say to the client, “I know that you’re going to fit in somewhere else that is going to just do the job for you at a cheaper rate. You should go and speak to Geoff”.’
