A tax and estates specialist, Julia Lewis (nee Richards) worked with Theodore Goddard and Farrer & Co before joining May, May & Merrimans as partner in 2007. In 2015, the firm merged with Hunters, where she became a partner in the private client team.

Lewis has significant tax and trusts expertise, with a particular expertise in estate planning, landed estates and heritage property. She has advised on wills, powers of attorney, probate and estate administration for HNW entrepreneurs and landed families. She works closely with other senior lawyers across the firm, including from its established art, charity and property teams, advising on probate in particular.

She is an active member of the Westminster & Holborn Law Society and is a keen golfer and cyclist.
