Jonathan Bowling runs MyDermatologist, a holistic dermatological clinic in Oxfordshire helping patients to keep their skin protected while ‘enjoying the sun and outdoor life’, something the specialist advocates.

A large proportion of Bowling’s clinical and research work revolves around the diagnosis and prevention of skin cancer: he has served as the clinical lead at hospitals in Oxford and has been a pioneer in the use of dermoscopy in diagnosing melanoma.

Bowling is a member of the International Dermatological Society, and is the author of Diagnostic Dermoscopy, a key text for medical practitioners. He was part of the faculty at the World Congress on Cancers of the Skin, has devised training sessions attended by thousands of medical practitioners and dermatologists and he is currently involved in developing a telehealth service for patients with psoriasis.
