David O'Brart

Spear’s Review

David O’Brart serves as both a private consultant at Harley Street’s London Vision Clinic and as the director of refractive, cornea, and cataract surgery within the ophthalmology department at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London. 

He has co-authored three books on corneal topography and refractive and corneal surgery in addition to over a hundred research and scientific publications in established, peer-reviewed ophthalmic journals. 

O’Brart is a founding member of the Microsurgical Skills Committee and was appointed an honorary professor of corneal science at King’s College London. He was also a fellow at the prestigious Shiley Eye Institute in San Diego.
