Art and finance lawyer at The Fine Art Group, Freya Stewart serves as the CEO of the company’s art finance and group general counsel business. 

Responsible for launching the art finance division, she assists clients with securing loans against high-value artwork and jewellery. She says that ‘The Fine Art Group’s art lending business is unique among other specialist art lenders as it is built on the back of a strong and well-respected in-house art team, yet also independent from the auction houses.’ 

She formerly served as senior legal counsel at Christie’s in addition to previous roles as vice president at Barclays Investment Bank and as an associate at Linklaters.
