A partner of the firm for the past quarter century, Richard Houston heads up Deloitte’s operations in the UK as its chief executive, as well as overseeing Deloitte North and South Europe – connecting together an umbrella network of 50,000 professionals integral to the functioning of the continent’s knowledge economy and the smooth running of its financial services. 

Houston previously oversaw the firm’s North West Europe consulting service lines – before being picked to replace the firm’s David Sproul in 2019. He has sat on the Big Four firm’s UK executive committee since 2015 and was recently re-elected to stay on as senior partner until 2027. A chemistry graduate, Houston first joined the firm in 2002, moving from his role as a partner at Arthur Andersen.
