John Downing’s practice has been focused on the prime central London property market for more than 25 years, acquiring and selling high value residential property for a clientele including high-profile individuals from both the City and the entertainment industry.
Downing moved from Goodman Derrick to Keystone Law in 2020. The seasoned solicitor is well-known within the sector for having a pragmatic and clear approach to complex issues.
He advises HNWs in relation to the de-enveloping of properties held in corporate vehicles, general landlord and tenant matters, freehold and leasehold enfranchisement, and Stamp Duty Land Tax issues. He also advises clients on the sale and purchase of large country houses and estates, including those with mixed use or agricultural use.
