Kingsley Napley senior partner Stephen Parkinson has a simple philosophy: ‘To limit the damage caused by the investigation, both in terms of its outcome and in terms of its consequences for clients’ reputations.’ In the last few years, he has acted for five FTSE 100 chairmen as well as numerous main board directors and senior executives of public companies.
He has also acted for prime ministers including Tony Blair, Margaret Thatcher and John Major, as well as a number of former cabinet ministers, in public inquiries. Parkinson notes that his firm is now frequently instructed direct by the general counsel of companies: ‘They recognise that we are the leading experts in the field.’
