Spear’s Review

For Simon Pigott of Levison Meltzer Pigott there’s no such thing as a ‘good’ divorce – only ‘slightly less unpleasant’ ones.

‘No one goes through the process with any sense of pleasure,’ he tells Spear’s. ‘As solicitors, our role is to understand that, and to recognise that, for a lot of clients, divorce is all-consuming, and something that worries them hugely.’ It’s the sort of plain-speaking wisdom that has differentiated Pigott’s firm from much of the competition. Co-founded by Pigott in 1998, it specialises solely in family law, and continues to draw in big-money cases.

Despite doubling in size over two decades, the firm has stayed true to its founding principles of being a boutique practice, solely focused on family law – with its finely tuned in-house expertise reflecting this specialism.

He remains an accredited and practising family mediator. He is also a trained Collaborative lawyer.
