Simon Jennings

Spear’s Review

When Spear’s caught up with Simon Jennings following his 2017 move to Smith & Williamson (now Evelyn Partners), he described the company as ‘a more appropriate firm for me to work towards retirement’, but the founding member of Step shows no sign of slowing down just yet.

An adviser on a wide range of aspects of private tax, Jennings had been a partner at Rawlinson & Hunter for more than three decades. What has the senior consultant learned in his long time at the crease? ‘No two private clients are alike,’ he says. He adds that personality, family circumstances, plans for the future and risk appetite of a given client are all things an adviser needs to consider before tailoring the right advice.
