Roarie Scarisbrick

Spear’s Review

Roarie Scarisbrick told Spear’s that during his first year at Property Vision in 2004, he must have looked at the best part of a thousand properties. Two decades on, the St Andrews art history graduate is a partner at the firm and a seasoned adviser for private clients navigating prestigious postcodes in central London and beyond.

‘We’re not looking to beat people up,’ Scarisbrick said of the art of the buying agent. ‘We’re just looking for really good property at the right price for the clients.’

Amid a busy country market, Scarisbrick told Spear’s, wealthy buyers are increasingly exploring lesser-known areas of the UK countryside. However, he would always ‘expect our home counties teams to be busy’, he emphasised. ‘The Sussexes, Surrey, through Hampshire, down the M4 corridor, up to the Cotswolds – those kinds of markets.’

For UHNWs considering country boltholes, patience is a must, he added. ‘If you're looking for something really special ... that does take a long time.’

Adviser Profile

Roarie has been with Property Vision since 2004 and is a partner based in their London office. When he started, he says, he was simply given the keys to a scooter, a London streets A-Z and told to get on with it. With twenty years of experience, he now represents high-end buyers and has handled many of central London’s largest residential transactions in recent years, with over £1 billion of acquisitions to his name. He is known for utmost discretion, and his client list is a Who’s Who of private wealth from across the world, with business leaders, entrepreneurs and a little bit of Hollywood.

Roarie only ever acts for a limited number of clients to ensure that each gets absolute attention and the highest level of service. His clients compliment his proactive approach to each search, the depth of his experience and market knowledge and his pragmatic approach to negotiations. He styles himself first and foremost as an advisor to his clients, and this is manifested in every part of the Property Vision process, through the search, the due diligence and negotiation. The London market is notoriously difficult to navigate, according to Scarisbrick, and his job is to give some clarity and transparency to his clients so that they can make fully informed decisions.

The likeable Scarisbrick prides himself on an encyclopaedic knowledge of London’s streets and great houses, and works extremely closely with his clients to ensure that they secure the best and most suitable property for them at the right price. He frequently travels to meet with clients across Europe, India, South East Asia and the USA.

He is consistently listed amongst London’s leading buying agents and is a regular commentator in the press.
