Rothschild & Co managing director Peter Hindle was recruited in 2015 to set up and grow the firm’s wealth management business across the North West.

Clients tend to be entrepreneurs. ‘They might have had private equity backing and realised wealth from a number of transactions or are family-owned businesses where the current generation wants to realise the value and exit,’ Hindle tells Spear’s.

The former Credit Suisse banker and former corporate solicitor emphasises the importance of encouraging clients to think about long term investment and wealth planning strategies. He notes: ‘We guide them to use the wealth they’ve generated to reach the goals that are the most important to them, to achieve their individual objectives and the things they are passionate about,’ he says.

Peter Hindle, a managing director at Rothschild & Co's wealth management business, was recruited in 2015 to set up and grow its Manchester offering. A corporate solicitor at the start of his career, he has now been looking after private clients, families and their trusts for more than 16 years.

His team has since grown from one to eleven, with 'substantial assets under management built in a steady, organic and low-key way' on the back of long-standing relationships with professionals across the North and providing 'innovative solutions to clients', working closely with colleagues in the Global Advisory business. 'My clients tend to be entrepreneurs,' he says. 'They might have had private equity backing and realised wealth from a number of transactions or are family-owned businesses where the current generation wants to realise the value and exit.'

His USP is his in-depth knowledge of corporate transactions. 'I can help by working alongside the client as part of the deal team, pre- and post-exit and then advise them on how best to preserve and grow the proceeds for their family's long-term security,' he says. It's testament to the quality of advice and guidance that Hindle's team provides, that assets from existing and new clients have continued to grow steadily. 'The challenges presented by the last couple of years have allowed us to demonstrate what's distinctive about our approach, discuss clients' concerns and reassure them they can have confidence in our strategies,' he says.

Following the initial success in Manchester, the recent expansion of Hindle's team to include new regional offices in the Midlands and Leeds was a natural progression. He emphasises his team members are 'very loyal to clients and always try to go the extra mile. It means clients, in turn, are very loyal to us. We always do the right thing for our clients,' he concludes.
