Patrick Harney is a cross-border tax specialist with experience of working in Dublin, London and New York. With clients including HNWs, family offices and hedge funds in all three countries, the former racehorse owner has built a specialist practice advising on US-UK and UK-Irish tax, trust and estate planning and UK resident non-domiciled tax planning.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given his transatlantic work, Harney lists his two-year secondment at a New York law firm, begun in 2005, as one of two pivotal moments in his career. ‘It gave me a deep understanding of US tax practice and culture,’ he says.
