Back in 2007, Mark Davies founded Mark Davies Associates, a tax advisory firm that primarily acts for clients who are UK resident but non-domiciled.

The firm has clients all over the world and provides a range of services that include everything from the bread-and-butter work of preparing tax returns to providing solutions to complex tax problems. The firm’s chartered tax advisers specialise in pre-arrival planning for people moving to the UK, tax mitigation, property ownership matters, business relief and dealing with HMRC enquiries and investigations.

Davies tells Spear’s: ‘We aim to be the tax boutique of choice for UHNWs, attracting the best talent to work with us, including staff in the management of the firm.’

Prior to setting up the company, Davies was a private client partner heading the personal tax team at a top 10 firm in London.
