‘I have a varied and interesting practice,’ says Laurie Horwood, describing his role within Farrer & Co’s high-value residential arm.
A partner, he advises on the spectrum of real estate acquisition and disposal matters for HNWs and families with complex portfolios which also include commercial property. A £60 million property purchase is a typical example of the transactions that arrive at his desk.
Another recent highlight was a country house that was sold for the first time ‘in a generation’ to a ‘a long-standing client with global wealth’.
An Oxford PPE graduate, Horwood trained and qualified at Linklaters before working at Macfarlanes from 2004 to 2009. He joined Farrer in 2010 where he became a member of the firm’s private banking and investment management group.
