Jonathan Cary joined RPC as a partner in 2014. His fields of expertise include banking and financial markets disputes, internal investigations and contentious regulatory matters, including FCA enforcement actions. Cary’s client-base is diverse and international, with a particular focus on the UK, Asia and Hong Kong, where he is locally qualified and spent a significant part of his professional career.

The University of Bristol-educated solicitor mainly advises HNW and UHNW individuals, companies, financial institutions – and in 2018 impressively advised the Federal Republic of Nigeria on an acquisition of an oil prospecting licence for $1.3 billion by two oil majors.

Cary is also a member of RPC’s Competition Litigation team, where he focuses particularly on follow-on damages claims.
