Spear’s Review

BDB Pitmans’ John Stephenson is a veteran in the residential landlord and tenant field, having worked in it for nearly three decades. ‘I try to get the best possible results,’ he says. ‘It’s about finding solutions which look at the client’s ultimate aim, rather than short-term fixes.’

Being made a managing partner in 1992, and senior partner in 2010, his other career highlights include successes in high profile cases such as Cadogan v 26 Cadogan Square Limited in the House of Lords and Day v Hosebay in the Supreme Court, as well as Sloane Stanley Trustees v Carey-Morgan and Stephenson in the Court of Appeal.

Outside work, Stephenson can be found either at Lord’s Cricket Ground, Fulham FC or his church, where he is treasurer.
