As head of the private client department at Osbornes Law, Jan Atkinson has over 30 years’ experience advising on wills, estates and trusts work. Her current practice focuses in particular on wealth planning, high-value estate administration, international estates and disputed probate and trusts cases. She tells Spear's that her most rewarding cases involve intricate estate administrations, international probate work, successful Inheritance Act claims and resolving disputed estates.

A registered contentious trust and probate specialist, Atkinson also writes and lectures on wills and inheritance issues and is a member of the executive committee of the Law Society’s private client section. She is also regularly appointed by the Court as an independent administrator to resolve long-running contentious estates.
