Former US M&A lawyer and Merrill Lynch investment banker Bruce Macfarlane founded MMC Ventures in 2000, and the business is now one of the most highly regarded VCs in the UK, with significant loyalty from HNWs, who have provided more than half of the of the £380 million MMC has under management. 

MMC has always focused on innovative technology companies – including Bloom & Wild and Gousto – and has a long record of profitable exits. Macfarlane’s network of contacts has recently secured Martin Morgan, ex-CEO of DMGT, and Ian Barlow, chairman of HMRC, as MMC Advisory Board members. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been a recent research theme, leading to AI-driven investments.
