Anthony Simon

Anthony Simon brings extensive experience to Farrant Group clients, having helped defend and enhance the reputations of governments, major organisations and high-profile individuals.

Through a range of senior positions, including at Downing Street, he has been involved with tackling some of the world's most complex communications challenges. 

Anthony joined Farrant Group as director in 2021, where he now brings his experience to the company's growing client portfolio. Prior joining Farrant Group, he led the pan-London governmental crisis communications response to the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as strategic planning for a successful and sustained recovery. Based in the City of London Corporation he coordinated London’s response across communications partners, including the Cabinet Office Covid-19 hub, the Mayor of London and City Hall, London Councils, the NHS, TfL and all agencies involved in the response across the capital.

He also engaged with the business community to help ensure London's economy was able to continue and rebound despite the pressures caused by national restrictions. 

Previously, Anthony was a partner in a leading communications consultancy, where he advised a range of major international clients, from governments and national leaders to private individuals. This included building and delivering strategies to help clients achieve their reputational objectives and defending them from sometimes significant and sustained third-party campaigns.

With a background in digital, Anthony spent several years at 10 Downing Street where he was head of digital communication. Working for the Prime Minister, he worked to embed and enhance the digital function, to drive up the impact and effectiveness of government communications.
