Based in Irwin Mitchell’s Leeds office, Andrea Jones heads up the firm’s regional tax, trust and estates team, advising HNWs and their families on all aspects of succession, tax and asset protection planning.

‘I work closely with my clients and get to know them so that I can fully understand their requirements,’ Jones tells Spear’s. Her areas of expertise include wills, inheritance tax, capital gains tax, trusts, probate and powers of attorney.

A member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), she has significant experience in supporting clients beginning to lose the capacity to manage their own affairs, working closely with their families and trusted advisers.

Andrea leads the Tax, Trusts and Estates team at Irwin Mitchell's Leeds and Newcastle offices and her role involves providing estate planning, wealth protection and succession planning advice to vulnerable clients and their families and also business families and entrepreneurs. 

Andreas team provide the full range of private client advice to families and individuals and includes later life experts, probate and trust and tax specialists within the team. They work collaboratively across the Irwin Mitchell national team and other professionals to provide a holistic service to our clients. 

Andrea is currently Chair of STEP Yorkshire and very active in the local professional network in Yorkshire and the North East.
