Gemma Pugh joined Sotheby’s International Realty’s UK ranks in July 2023 following roles at a boutique London agency and at Knight Frank, where she spent seven years. 

She tells Spear’s she appreciates the cachet a well-known brand like Sotheby’s has with UHNW and international buyers, and the personal agency the organisation gives her in her work. 

‘I just love it; I’m having the best time,’ she says. She adds that there’s a perception among outsiders that the property world can be ‘very dog eat dog’, but reports there’s a highly collegiate culture at the firm. 

Her client base is truly international, both among buyers and those looking to let. As the UK outfit develops, she says a particular strength for Sotheby’s will be the links the firm has in the Middle East.
