Spear’s Review

Overseeing more than $41 billion in assets under management, Stanhope Capital is one of the world’s largest investment advisory firms. Founded in 2004 by Harvard alum and former UBS banker Daniel Pinto, Stanhope counts the world’s wealthiest families and entrepreneurs in its client books.

In recent years, Pinto has led the firm through significant mergers and acquisitions that have amplified Stanhope’s global presence across HNW markets. Its merger in 2021 with US based FWM Holdings – which manages the wealth of the Forbes founding family – secured Stanhope’s position as a leading investment adviser to clients across both Europe and the US. ‘The two firms have exactly the same DNA,’ Pinto says.

Stanhope, which used to oversee the £538 million investment portfolio of the late Queen, is now looking to further increase its presence in Europe. The firm has merged with Luxembourg-based Arche Associates, an advisory firm that has $2 billion in assets under management.

The combined group operates from eight offices (London, Luxembourg, Geneva, Paris, New York, Philadelphia, Palm Beach and Boston), and employs around 160 people.
