Victoria Papworth is a specialist philanthropy adviser at Coutts and director of the Coutts Institute.

As well as providing a bespoke service to individuals who give very large sums, Papworth is the driving force behind Coutts Collective, a service for people who do not currently give enough to justify setting up their own trust but who are seeking Coutts’ advice.

Papworth sees intergenerational planning as an essential part of the job of a philanthropy adviser, given that fortunes often pass from parents to children. ‘Coutts Institute sits as part of family services,’ she says. ‘It’s my role to create spaces for family conversations.’
