The International Gene Clinic advises its patients on a variety of issues relating to inherited conditions such as pre-pregnancy planning, genetic testing, well-being and personalised assessments.

‘Some people attend the clinic for a diagnosis, others come with a diagnosis about the condition and how likely it is to affect other family members,’ the clinic says.

A paediatric and adult centre for inherited conditions, the clinic offers services that include follow-ups, risk assessment and the exploration of reproductive options. 

Specialists include Dr Saggar, a consultant in the South West Thames Regional Genetics Department at St George’s Hospital Medical School (where he is also an honorary senior lecturer), and Dr Paul Brennan from the Northern Genetics Service at the International Centre for Life in Newcastle.
