After more than a decade at Julius Baer, Jim Barrett is busier than ever, and says understanding the needs of the wealthy families and entrepreneurs who make up his client base is just as exciting as when he joined in 2012. 

‘It could be philanthropy, it could be legacy, it could be their kids,’ he says. ‘It’s a very interesting role to sit down with these individuals, and to understand what they’ve done and how they’ve built these industry-defining companies … I jump out of bed every morning.’ 

Barrett studied electrical engineering at University College Cork, and worked at Goldman Sachs for six years after graduating.
