Few in the private client world will have the specialisms that Alexander Kraft, CEO of Sotheby’s International Realty France and Monaco, boasts on his LinkedIn profile: ‘luxury properties & industry, author, fashion & style expert, music producer’.

His education was similarly varied: Kraft studied law at the universities of Göttingen, Cambridge, Berlin and San Diego before beginning his career at Sotheby’s in 1997. He joined its real estate department a year later, and was appointed its European regional manager in the same year.

Kraft acquired the auction house’s France-Monaco arm in 2004 and has since developed a network in Paris, the Côte d’Azur, Provence, Biarritz, Courchevel and Megève, among others, serving a varied international clientele.
