Marwa Alani is Emirates NBD’s former head of UAE and a Kleinwort Benson (now Kleinwort Hambros) private banker, who joined Deutsche Bank in 2019 to head up the Middle East and Africa desk. The Iraqi-born banker works between London and locations such as Dubai and other cities in the Middle East.

A private banker since 2008, Alani looks after a select few UHNWs while largely overseeing the German bank’s strategies across the Middle East and Africa regions. She is proud of the sophisticated level of service and solutions the bank can offer clients, from real estate investment structures to jet financing to commercial lending, all while leveraging their investment portfolios as well. She tells Spear’s that something of prime importance to her is that the bank’s solutions meet the clients’ requirements and protects their personal and business interests.
