Dr Michael May, the medical director and principal surgeon of the Wimpole Clinic, boasts more than 25 years’ experience in hair transplant, having had completed over 10,000 procedures.

He is available to prospective patients during their consultation and carries out all hair transplant procedures at the clinic. He qualified at St Bartholomew’s Hospital before training and registering as a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons.

He was instrumental in the development of the widely practised follicular unit transplant (FUT) technique, and is an expert who has presented papers and lectures on the subject both in the UK and abroad. He is also a founder member and past president of the British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery.
